You've searched and known me

There comes a time in life whereby, you question the presence of God in your life. You go through one challenge after another, one disappointment after the other till you sit yourself down and ask, 'Does God still exist in my situations?'
It's kinda funny when you look around and feel like everything is going on great in other people's lives expect your's.

You read the Word, Pray, Fast, Fellowship with others and Serve God with every breath in you but despite all that, nothing seems to work. Your prayers seems to hit the wall, your Faith turns to doubt and you wonder am I still saved, am I still a Christian, am I still His beloved Son or Daughter?

Well, even the one the Bible records as "a man after God's own heart" had reached to that point in His life. These questions arose so strongly in his heart, seeing everyone is against him; the kings, his own son and even the people he once led  faithfully, this really was the darkest moment in David's life but at that moment, God revealed Himself in David's situation. In the moment of distress, pain, confusion, heartaches, discouragements and disappointments, that is when God reveals Himself strongly in our lives. Those are the moments when His voice is so loud towards us.

David knew this and understood that the best moments to 'Seek the Lord while He can be found' was at his darkest time. I too feel as though am in the same state as David was in and to be honest I enjoy His presence more now in my life than never before.

David understood that God was with Him and that there was no where he could have gone or ran away from His presence. He understood that God knew him to the very finest details of his life. Times we question if God really knows our hearts desires or pains, well, He does know and much more He understands alot than you can imagine. He is ready to help and save you from any confusing situation.

Learn to surrender to God and to depend on His saving power. His hands are not too short to save us, His ears are open to our cries and His arms are open wide to embrace us whenever we run to Him.

I came across this Psalms 139 and it melted my heart, took my insecurities away and filled me with reassurance that God has got my back. Just like David, I believe God has the best interest for me and you at heart. Be assured that He is molding you in the hard situations and shaping you to be the best in all you do. He is a good, good Father.

Be blessed by this Psalm may it minister to your every situation.

Psalms 139

O Lord, You have searched me and known me.
You know my sitting down and my rising up;
You understand my thought afar off.
You comprehend my path and my lying down,
And are acquainted with all my ways.
For there is not a word on my tongue,
But behold, O Lord, You know it altogether.
You have hedged me behind and before,
And laid Your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
It is high, I cannot attain it.
Where can I go from Your Spirit?
Or where can I flee from Your presence?
If I ascend into heaven, You are there;
If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there.
If I take the wings of the morning,
And dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
Even there Your hand shall lead me,
And Your right hand shall hold me.
If I say, "Surely the darkness shall fall on me,"
Even the night shall be light about me;
Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You,
But the night shines as the day;
The darkness and the light are both alike to You.
For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother's womb.
I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
Marvelous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skillfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.
How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God!
How great is the sum of them!
If I should count them, they would be more in number than the sand;
When I awake, I am still with You.
Oh, that You would slay the wicked, O God!
Depart from me, therefore, you bloodthirsty men.
For they speak against You wickedly;
Your enemies take Your name in vain.
Do I not hate them, O Lord, who hate You?
And do I not loathe those who rise up against You?
I hate them with perfect hatred;
I count them my enemies.
Search me, O God, and know my heart;
Try me, and know my anxieties;
And see if there is any wicked way in me,
And lead me in the way everlasting.
